My dear pastor friend was marrying two women and I wanted a "soft" stole for her to wear which would show the pureness of love in the celebration.  Softly the rainbow colors show through but are not the prominent feature of the stole - just as our choices of life partners is not the main attraction to God or a reason for Him not to love us.  Through it all, God honors our love choices and loves us just as we are.  We would do well to follow His lead.
