Growing up Catholic exposed me to many things I never would have encountered otherwise in my spiritual life, with the celebration of the "Crowning of the Virgin Mary" being a biggie.  At age 10, I was chosen to be the most envied girl in St. Matthew's Parish - the one to crown Mother Mary on that blessed Sunday morning in May.  The event really called for a new dress and my mother rallied to the occasion by making me a lovely little blue number with white lace.  I thought I was as pretty as Mother Mary in her blue dress.  This material reminds me of that glorious day.
